Minors: Jeff Locke throws six scoreless, Luis Heredia also pitches well

No Pirates recap today. I saw the game but the way it was going, I was forced to start drinking which likely destroyed my memory of most of the events. I'm surprised I even wrote this seeing as I'm on four hours of sleep. Hangovers and bloodshot eyes usually aren't conducive to writing. I do have a gem of an idea for a post though so if I find the time, I'll write that up later. Anyway, moving on.

Transactions: All kinds of moves were made on Friday. Jordy Mercer was reinstated from the paternity list and Daniel McCutchen was optioned back to AAA Indianapolis. Jeff Clement was promoted to the majors and Yamaico Navarro was sent back to AAA. Also, the Pittsburgh Pirates claimed Hisanori Takahashi off of waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers. A corresponding move will need to be made when he gets to Pittsburgh.
